Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", "your") and Jaaniye ("Jaaniye", "we", "our", "us") governing your access to and use of the Jaaniye Vedic astrology platform, including our website, mobile applications, APIs, and all associated services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing the Service as a guest, or clicking any "I agree" button, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

Service Description

Jaaniye provides a Vedic (Jyotish) astrology platform that offers the following core capabilities:

• Sidereal birth-chart generation
• Vimshottari Dasha timeline analysis (Maha, Antar, Pratyantar levels)
• Yoga detection, ascendant strength, and planetary aspect analysis
• Divisional (Varga) chart computation (D2 – D60)
• Sade Sati Saturn-tracking and Rahu/Ketu transit monitoring
• Yearly planetary transit timelines and Muhurat / Panchang calculations
• AI-powered chart consultation ("Ask Jaaniye") grounded in your computed chart
• Family chart management and saved profile storage

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

Accounts & Eligibility

To create an account and access personalised features, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction if higher).
• Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your credentials and notify us promptly of any unauthorised access.
• Use only one personal account (duplicate accounts may be merged or removed).

You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Jaaniye is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.

Guest access (exploration without sign-in) is provided at our sole discretion and may be subject to rate limits or feature restrictions.

Credits & Payments

Certain features of Jaaniye, including AI chart consultations, require the purchase of Credits. By purchasing Credits, you agree to the following:

• Pricing: Credit prices are displayed at the time of purchase and may change with advance notice.
• Non-refundable: All Credit purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law or at our sole discretion in the case of demonstrable billing errors.
• Expiry: Credits do not expire while your account remains active. Credits are forfeited upon account termination.
• No cash value: Credits have no monetary value outside the Service and may not be transferred, sold, or exchanged for cash.
• Payment security: Payments are processed by a PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment provider. Jaaniye does not store your full card details.

If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us via the Contact Us section at the end of these Terms within 30 days of the transaction.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights.
• Enter false, misleading, or fraudulent birth data to generate charts for deceptive purposes.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, other user accounts, or restricted features.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to extract data without prior written permission.
• Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service without our written authorisation.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any code designed to harm our systems or users.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or Jaaniye staff.

Intellectual Property

The Service and all its original content, features, functionality, design, software, algorithms, and data compilations are and will remain the exclusive property of Jaaniye and its licensors, protected under applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

The "Jaaniye" name, logo, and product marks are trademarks of Jaaniye. You may not use them without our prior written consent.

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

Your Content

You retain ownership of all birth data, chart names, and notes you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you grant Jaaniye a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit any birth data entered for third parties (e.g., family members), and that doing so complies with applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

We do not use Your Content to train AI models or for advertising purposes.

AI Features & Accuracy

The "Ask Jaaniye" AI consultation feature provides astrological analysis grounded in your computed Vedic chart. You acknowledge and agree that:

• Informational only: AI responses are for educational and entertainment purposes. They do not constitute professional advice of any kind — financial, medical, legal, psychological, or otherwise.
• No guarantees: Vedic astrology and AI-generated interpretations are inherently subjective. We make no representation that responses will be accurate, complete, or applicable to your circumstances.
• Human judgment required: You should not make important life decisions based solely on astrological readings or AI output. Always consult qualified professionals for serious matters.
• Credit consumption: Each AI consultation query consumes Credits as displayed before submission. Queries that fail due to service errors will not deduct Credits.

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that results obtained through the Service will be accurate or reliable, or that defects will be corrected. Astrological interpretations are provided for informational and reflective purposes only and are not a substitute for independent professional judgement.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, JAANIYE AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL JAANIYE'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO JAANIYE IN THE SIX MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED RUPEES (₹100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Termination

By you: You may stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us using the button in the Contact Us section below.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you materially breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Unused Credits are forfeited. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will remain in effect after termination.

Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

Before initiating formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us via the Contact Us section below so we can attempt to resolve the matter informally within 30 days.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

• Update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.
• Display a prominent notice within the application.
• Where required by law, obtain your renewed consent before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any revision constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
